Mount Franklin

Mount Franklin spreads a positive message to raise awareness for breast cancer. This October Mount Franklin will turn pink to celebrate its ongoing Diamond partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), and donate $250,000* towards research. Australia’s leading bottled water will be encouraging consumers to think and act positively during Pink Ribbon Month to show support for the NBCF.

By turning the labels and lids on the PET Still and Lightly Sparkling glass bottles pink Mount Franklin aim to create a sea of pink throughout October and help raise awareness for breast cancer. The bottles will feature positive pink designs and a quote from breast cancer survivor Amanda Maltabarow - "positive thinking is a key which unlocks the secrets of a happy and fulfilling life”.

In Mount Franklin’s third year of the partnership, they will donate much needed funds directly to a specific research project - Fear of Recurrence. Led by Clinical Psychologist Dr Belinda Thewes, the research will look into the fear of cancer reoccurring in breast cancer survivors who were diagnosed before the age of 45, with the hope of identifying better coping mechanisms.

“Mount Franklin’s continued support for the NBCF is fundamental to raising funds for research and, in turn, helping reach our goal of improving the lives of those impacted by breast cancer. This is an important research project as it affects the majority of those who have undergone treatment for the disease but to varying degrees,” commented Ms Sue Murray, CEO, National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Available nationally to coincide with Pink Ribbon Month, Mount Franklin limited edition bottles will be on shelf throughout September and October.

* Mount Franklin is already donating $100,000 to the NBCF for 2008. We need your help to raise the additional $150,000. Visit www.wellofpositivity.com to find out how you can act positively throughout Pink Ribbon month and help raise funds for the NBCF.
